It May Not Be A Hoover...

But Baby LOVES our vacuum. I think she always has. Even when she was a bitty thing she would go completely silent and watch in wonder when the vacuum was turned on. Now that she is mobile, she enjoys touching the vacuum (sometimes to my chagrin). I wasn't able to snap any pictures of it, or get it on video, but she actually knelt at the back of the vacuum (the flat portion) and knelt up beside it. As I slowly worked my way across the rug the vacuum went with me. It was slow enough that she was able to stay with the vacuum and "kneel-crawl" across the floor. To say she's a little attached may be an understatement--she started crying when it was time to put the vacuum away.
My only hope is she will continue to love vacuums (especially using them) well into her teens.

  1. Yep, that sounds like Benjamin! :) Bowen??? And so far so good for Avery, too--she likes to help me push it (at .2 mph). I figure we're on a good track for her teenage years.

  2. How funny! Neither Ria nor Kat enjoy the vacuum at all! (Or any other loud noise, for that matter... unless it's Daddy's music - then the noise definition is arguable. ^_^)

What great pictures! I love to see Addie!

  3. Wow you should feel lucky. gordon hates the Vacuum and always has.Although he is getting better now that he is older and we just have to keep it out for him so he can see it all the time not just when I Vacuum. So that is good that she likes it so much!! She is such a beautiful little girl

  4. Apparently I would knee-crawl as a youngster. I was known as "Sarah Knee Walker." I did it during the phase between crawling and walking. That's so cute that Addie is doing it and even more cute it's with the vacuum!
