Addie's Birth Story

A long time ago a few of our friends expressed interest in Addie's birth story. The short story is that we hoped and prepared for a natural, un-medicated birth and succeeded. Like many successes in life, that experience did not come without difficulty and a few unique complications. It took a few months for me to record it, but I did eventually finish. I considered posting it in conjunction with Addie's birthday post but decided that although I am willing to share Addie's birth story, I don't want to make it accessible to "Joe Schmoe" on the world-wide-web (not that "he'd" care, but hopefully you know what I mean...).

If you are still interested in her birth story, you are welcome to leave a comment with your email or send us an email with that request.

I'd love to hear the story. Since I hope to go natural I'd love to hear what 'tricks you used' and the 'unique complications.

  2. Hi Evelyn! I would like to hear your story. As John and I get slightly closer to the point of having children, I am very interested in having a natural childbirth experience as well. I have been trying to prepare now for what may be in our future and keep researching everything - so to hear your story would be FANTASTIC! I am so glad you guys will be coming home soon! We need to get together when you come back! Thanks!! -Kyle

  3. now you got me curious. After having three with an epidural, it would be nice to hear your experience and maybe when we have the next one we might try it.
