A Matter of Sizes

I have been washing some of the various onesies we have... and as Addie has begun growing out of some clothes and not others... we've noticed there are some differences in sizes from brand to brand. Of the four onesies pictured here, only ONE is for the 0-3 month size, the other three are 3-6 month sizes.

Anyone want to take a guess as to which onesie is the 0-3 month?

Anyone want to take a guess as to which brand is the smallest?

The outside onesies are both from Carter's, the one on the left is 0-3 month, the one on the right is 3-6 months. The second onesie from the left is Gerber, 3-6 months, and the third onesie from the left is Kyle & Deena, also 3-6 months.

A Little Sleepy

She is getting better at finding her hand, and specifically her thumb... I think she may take after me!! (I was quite the thumb sucker... no stories necessary from family...)

I really like this picture of us...

By the Skin of Our Teeth?

Update on the status of our arrangements for Kazakhstan:

-We've received our passports (for me and Addie)
-We just learned that there is someone who can help us get the additional letters of invitation (into the country) necessary for Addie and me to go to KZ
-We have just purchased our tickets! And leave September 12th....

The additional letters of invitation should be ready Sept. 2nd, and then it will take 5 days for the KZ Embassy to process our applications and issue visas...

Just pray that all works out as planned....

A First, For All of Us

Today, we went to the pool.

Although our first date (the first time) was over two years ago... and we've been married for a year... it was also the first time Chris & I have gone swimming together...

Blame the summer job.

Addie looks down at the water, not really sure about it...

The first dip of the feet was a little cold, but she warmed up to the water real fast...

The happy family on our first swimming trip.

The chipmunk at the community pool.

She's not a fan of being on her back, but she sure does float well!

Addie's all tuckered out after an afternoon at the pool...

A Little Fun

Check this girl out!!!

Too Cute

Sometimes after dressing Addie I just can't help but laugh... (in a too cute kind of way...)

Dinner at Sutters

Back in May we posted about our friend Ron and "Sutters". Since we are physically much closer, we've been able to eat with him a couple of times since July and took a few pictures this last time.

We often have juice... which Ron likes to make fancy-style. Any guesses as to what juices are layered here??
We start with salad...
Everyone is eager to partake... (Our host, Ron, is on the left, and besides being a great chef, he is also quite an artist... all the art is his own work)
Especially this giggly pair...
Chris serves us the main dish... a chicken and tortellini, curry-inspired, yummy yummy, main dish. (Yes, you should be jealous...) ;D

What Chris is Doing While At Work

Some of you may have thought that Chris was selling pest control contracts Monday through Saturday... and he does a little of that too... always the multi-tasker, he also spends his time taking pictures like these (with his phone)... =D
A banana spider
The next two pictures are actually from last summer. Chris & the other sales guys lived on the third floor of their apartment building... and one evening their very drunken neighbor decided he wanted to come visit them in their balcony. So he did what every sober and intelligent person would NOT do... he attempted to climb from his balcony to theirs... using the rain gutter downspout... once he put his weight on it, it bent and fell, him with it.

It doesn't end there...

So the guy was on the ground moaning and everyone was worried and asking if he was okay... and someone called 9-1-1. The guy got all freaked out and ran up to his apartment. When the cops & medics came they went to his apartment and inquired about the person who fell from the balcony... the drunk guy was at least one of the ones who answered the door, and grass stains and all, proceeded to assert that no one had fallen from their balcony....

A leopard cat, this picture shows the stripes

And this picture kindof shows it's spots

Chris with a prize-winning shitzu (this is actually from last year)

An elephant drawn on the inside of a bathroom stall,
per Chris, some graffiti deserves to be kept up...

A groundhog

A moth

A rabbit.
(When the wildlife in your area lounges on the grass and doesn't stir when a
human is nearby, you know they are wayyyy too tame!!)

Three bucks in a backyard, the deck is on the right.
Again, some population control measures should probably be taken.
