Brunch with Family

Some of our family was able to come up for brunch this past Saturday (specifically my Mom & Dad, Ben & Barb, and Josh & Caroline & kids). We had a great meal... breakfast casserole, fruit, pancakes & waffles, and juice. Chris was a great chef, frying up pancakes, making waffles, and paying lots of attention to Kelsy =) Caroline mentioned sometime ago that she thinks Kelsy has a little crush on Chris... whether she does or doesn't, she definitely DOES like his attention! =)

Towards the end of brunch we decided to show them some of the fun features of our web cam. We didn't record the first minutes (which were simply hilarious!!) but we were able to get about 5 minutes worth of Kelsy & JJ having fun with the camera. We've cut it down and I think I have the best 2 minutes for you.

Chris, Without Braces

I know, you are probably saying to yourself, FINALLY!! And it's true... We've taken forever to get these up. (We now have working batteries for our camera!) On the upside--we are still really excited about his teeth though... they look fantastic! I think you'll agree. =) I am posting a few pictures of just him and then one of us together.

TIP: If you look real close you can sometimes see that the line between his two front top teeth matches up perfectly with his two bottom teeth. Don't worry though... we haven't looked at his teeth much. ;D

Yes, She's Looking Pregnant

Ok. Still don't have any of the promised pics of Chris without braces... but! As of tonight, we have the beginning of the series on "Evelyn's Expanding Belly." I think the person MOST interested in this is probably my much missed DB. Hope you enjoy! =D

Wishes DO Come True!!

We found out Saturday that my sister and her husband Jessie are expecting!!! Our little baby is getting a whole lot of cousin-friends this year!! We are so excited! It looks like all the babies on both Chris' side and my side will be born in a 5 month span! How fun!! May through October will be an even busier time of year this year!

New Links

So, I don't know if anyone regularly checks our blog... on the rare chance that there is someone out there who has noticed... I have added some new links to our page. I am pretty excited about them too! We were talking on 3-way to Chris' brother & his sister (with their respective spouses) and I decided to look for recipes online (instigated by our discussion of the wonderful Cafe Rio and "copy cat" recipes for their pork)... I have unearthed a treasure trove and you wouldn't know it by looking at it!!! One of the links is a link to a blog written by "recipe queens"... a bunch of women who post recipes to share. Not only do they provide some very tantilizing recipes but they ALSO provide some amazing links to other great blogs or websites. If you follow links from these various sites it's an endless path to recipe heaven! Recipe after recipe... while the recipes aren't rated like found at allrecipes.com, it's still rather exciting to me. I would definitely encourage you to check out the links! =)

Can It Be Contagious??

We found out today that my brother Josh and his wife Caroline are expecting! We are sooo excited! Chris and I have had a great time talking about how fun it would be for Caroline & Tori to have babies this year too... Our little baby is getting a ton of cousins this year! Both of Chris' married siblings are expecting, and now two of my three married siblings are expecting. This year the grandbabies on the Chris' side will more than double and we're getting close to double on my side too.

Even funnier is the fact that our ward is a baby factory... there has been (on average) one baby born each month since we moved in, with 3 due in June! We are due on the 12th as is another couple, and one of my visiting teachers is due about a week later.

Then there are the Tidewater YSA Branch "graduates"... off the top of my head... there are 3 of us who are pregnant... One due in May, we are due in June, another due in August.

Oh... and about 2 weeks after we announced our addition to the folks at work, one of the guys in my department found out he's going to be a dad... a good 6 or so weeks after us, but still pretty close!
Be careful what you drink, something is in the water! =D
